After returning and a brief stay in Ridgefield, Connecticut P.E Crowley settled in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh, PA. The recent owner M.J Kelly believes he is the 3rd or 4th owner. P.E Crowley informed the present owner that he had upgraded this vehicle in several ways, each of which are listed below. M.J Kelly also made enhancements which are also listed below. Engine enhancements resulting in more horsepower were done by an engine specialist in the south bay named Mel Wong. Wong operated an automotive business named Pacific Coast Porsche Works in the South Bay (Santa Clara) from 1979 until about 1997 when he retired. Some of the enhancements are Weber Carburetors and Bursch Exhaust. Koni shocks were also part of these enhancements. Grundig AM-FM stereo sound system with cassette player and four speakers. Replaced original steering wheel with an upgraded one with a deluxe horn ring and center crest Replaced old seatbelts with modern 3-point Porsche seat belts which have reproduction belt buckles with Porsche crests from Professionally Engineered Products in Los Osos, CA. Clock converted to a quartz movement by Palo Alto Speedometer. Replaced the old 6 volt battery with a new Optima 6 volt battery and battery tender Replaced the car’s old Riken radials with fresh Pirellis from Cain’s Tires in San Rafael Installed a gold license plate frame Various small refresher parts bought from Stoddard Imported Cars in Willoughby, Ohio Amenities: This car has a transmission lock (with key) near the shift handle.
