A Chinese Archaistic Bronze Vase
20th Century
The heavily cast Fanghu shaped bronze vessel of flatten Hu form, rising from a splayed square foot to waisted neck and flared mouth. The body finely cast in low relief with three horizontal bands of taotie masks and stylized Kui dragons against a leiwen ground, flanked by loop handles on each side. The surface with an even, dark patina.
Height approx. 12 3/5 in. (33 cm).

Condition: Minor surface wear consistent with age. No apparent repairs.
