A French 19th C. Baccarat Crystal Casket with Vanity Set
A French 19th century Neo-Classical style Baccarat crystal ormolu mounted box containing a mother of pearl and sterling silver vanity set. The crystal box displaying a thick cut design, the opening rims with gilt metal foliate bands above a chased keyhole escutcheon, rising on gilt metal hoof feet. The box housing a mother of pearl vanity set, including hairbrush, file, toothbrush and other implements of the time. Toothbrush head and small scissors both with the small rabbit head Paris Silver Guarantee mark, and an enameled flower roundel inset in handle. Key included. Circa 1860. 4.25"h x 6.25"w x 4"d.
