Two guards both depicted heavily armed, one with pike and sword, the second with musket.
'Hugeunot' and ' Ligueur'
Inscribed on base A. Leveel.
Height to tip of pike 30in (76cm) height of Ligueur 23in (59cm)

Condition: Good, lacking foundry stamp.

The Hugeunots , practicing a Protestant religion, were evicted from France by Louis XIV in 1685
The English King, William III, established three regiments of Huguenots drawn from trained exiled French soldiers.
