Chinese Archaic Style Bronze Basin
19th to early 20th century.
In the archaic pan vessel form. The deep circular bowl with a wide everted rim, supported on three zoomorphic legs cast as mythical beast masks above clawed feet. The surface with a rich, mottled green patina and traces of earth encrustation.
Dimensions: Diameter approx. 20 in ( 51 cm). Height: Approx. 8 1/2 in (22.5 cm).
Condition: As-found condition. Surface verdigris, pitting, and mineral deposits throughout, as expected. No visible cracks or repairs. Structurally sound and heavy.
