Chinese Blue and White Lotus Scroll Jar
Qing Dynasty, Kangxi Style.
The ovoid body rising from a spreading foot to a short waisted neck, boldly painted in underglaze cobalt blue with a continuous lotus scroll bearing large blossoms and scrolling foliage, The neck is encircled by a band of plantain leaves and a band of upright lappets at the foot, all below a Ruyi-head and key-fret border. Fitted with a carved wooden stand.
Height: 19 in. (48.26 cm), Diameter: 13 in. (33 cm)

Condition: A hairline crack to the rim extending approximately 2 inches, with minor fritting to mouth rim and foot, otherwise good. Wood stand included.
