Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Hexagonal Garden Seat
Late Qing to Republic period.
A Chinese porcelain garden seat of hexagonal form, finely decorated in famille rose enamels with continuous figural scenes depicting scholars and attendants gathered in a garden setting. The upper and lower borders are embellished with colorful geometric bands and applied with flowering peonies and scrolling foliage surrounding a pierced cash form medallion, with additional reticulated cash motifs to two sides. The underside is unglazed with a central circular opening.
Height: 20 inches (51.5 cm), width: 12 inches (31.5 cm).

Condition: Overall good condition with age related surface wear, scattered enamel and gilt loss, minor scratches, glazed imperfections and firing irregularities. Minor abrasions and small losses are visible along the edges and foot rim. A few possible firing lines or hairline is visible near the underside.
