Chinese Polychrome Painted Bronze Seated Guanyin, Statue
Mid 20th Century
A Chinese painted bronze figure of Guangyin, seated in royal ease patio a naturalist rock work base, depicted wearing layered robes richly decorated in blue, red, and gilt floral patterns. The serene figure is shown with an elaborated high chignon, elongated earlobes, and jewelry adorning the chest. Raised on a fitted oval wooded plinth.

Height: 17 1/2 inclusive plinth.

Condition: Overall in good condition. Scattered wear, rubbing, and losses to the painted and gilt decoration consistent with age and use. Minor surface oxidation and handling wear to the bronze, the underside is enclosed with an iron plate. No significant dents or structural damage observed. Light wear to wood stand.
