Chinese White Jade Openwork Bi Disc Pendant
A Chinese White Jade Openwork 'Bi' pendant carved with confronted chilong dragons, Shou character and the auspicious inscription Chang Yi Zi Sun (May Blessings endure for future Generations).
Finely carved from a pale celadon white jade of even tone and attractive translucency, centered by a pierced bi disc surrounded by confronted archaistic chilling dragons, scrolling clouds, the openwork design further incorporates the auspicious inscription. The pendant is surmounted by an elaborate ruyi form crest and finished with a smooth , lustrous polish throughout and raised on a later carved hardwood stand.

Dimension: Jade pendant: Height: 3 3/8 in. (9 cm) width: 2 1/4 in. (6.5 cm), Overall Height: 6 1/8 in (16 cm).

Condition: Overall good condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. Natural inclusions and minor russet discoloration inherent to the jade. The later hardwood stand with expected minor wear.
