Designed as a butterfly highlighted by one hundred seventy-two old European-cut and single-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 4.35 cttw., the eyes two ruby cabochons, the outstretched wings accented by varied-shaped opal cabochons, set in an articulated, silver topped, 18k yellow gold pin mounting measuring approximately 2.70 x 1.70 inches. Accompanied by a red 'Laykin et Cie' box.
