Provenance: This panel was originally installed in 1780 in the Manor House of Acton Park Estate, Wrexham, Wales by Sir Foster Cunliffe, 3rd Baron of Acton Park
.As the Manor was remodeled and reduced in 1880's the panels were purchased by an American Gilded Age Financial Baron, William F. Babcock and installed in the newly built mansion on Broadway St. home of Alice Babcock, built for her wedding in 1880. by her father, William F. Babcock,
William F. Babcock was the Director of Spring Valley Water Company, the monopoly water provider for San Francisco 1860-1930.
The home has a further connection to a local Gilded Age Comstock Silver Baron, James Flood. Flood purchased the land on Broadway from Alice Babcock for his home and she agreed to move her house two blocks to 2828 Vallejo St, where it still stands.
