Empire Gilt Bronze Mantel Clock, Blanc Fils, au Palais Royal
After Jean-Andre Reiche (1752-1817)
Depicting Eros on a chariot 'au Char de l'Amour' pulled by a pair of rearing horses, designed after the Marly, horses, the wheel drum housing a clock with enamel dial signed Blanc Fils Palais Royal on a marble plinth raised on articulated paw feet.
15 1/2in (39cm) h. 19in (49cm) l. 5in (12cm) w.

Condition: Good. Hairline crack at marble base below rear of chariot. Clock works are not guaranteed.
