In a red felt lined fitted mahogany case. Top with chased brass cartouche "Le Dr. Comte" and brass border inlay. 8" x 9.5" x 1.5".
Joseph Frederic Charriere was born in Cerniat Switzerland in 1803 and came to Paris in 1816 as an apprentice cutler. He specialized in surgical instruments.
