Group of Two Chinese Celadon Bowls
Northern Song and Jin Dynasty.

Comprising: First is a Qingbai carved floral bowl, possibly Northern Song Dynasty (11 th12th Century), of rounded form and flared rim, covered overall in a pale bluish- white Qinghai celadon glazed. The interior freely carved with scrolling peony sprays around a central chrysanthemum medallion, the exterior left plain. The unglazed rim fired upside down in a sagger. Second is a Chinese Yaozhouyao celadon carved bowl, possibly Jin Dynasty (12-13 century) . Of conical form and rounded sides, covered in an olive-green glaze. The interior incised with a central floral medallion surrounded by combed lines. The exterior with faint incised lines. The foot trim unglazed, showing the dark reddish stoneware body, bearing two inscribed characters in ink.
