Herend Rothschild Bird Coffee Service
The service decorated with a pair of song birds perched on a leafy branch also hung with a gold necklace below colorful insects and a gilt scaled rim.

The Rothschild Bird pattern, from the 1870's depicting a pair of birds playing with a golden necklace is based on a family anecdote when a pair of birds stole a necklace from their house. After a day of searching, the family found the pair of birds playing with the necklace on one of their trees.
