Italian Rococo Chest of Drawers 18th century. The serpentine top with inlaid burl cartouche over a conforming two drawer case and scalloped apron ending in cabriole legs and scrolled toes. 35in. (89cm) h. 52in. (132cm) l. 26in. (66cm) d. Provenance: From the Collection of James W Payne, Academy Award winner, "Best Art Direction" for the 1973 movie 'The Sting'. Stencil on reverse '2nd floor.' Likely a piece from a Hollywood studio collection.
