Molded White Glass Snuff Bottle
Late Qing Dynasty.
Of compressed ovoid form, the opaque milky white glass body simulating white jade. The shoulders set with stylized tatie mask ring handles molded in low relief. The front and reverse panels each decorated in high relief polychrome enamels with gilt highlights. One side depicting a boy climbing a gnarled prunus branch; another side shown a standing female figure.
Dimensions: 2 1/4 in. (5.7 cm)

Condition: Intensive rubbing to the gilding and some old losses to the applied decoration, commensurate with age and adding to its authenticity. The stopper appears original.
