Resin, Sterling Silver Studio Necklace, Susan Kasson Sloan Designed as a series of abstract-shaped panels, each inlaid with multicolored epoxy resin, joined to patinated links forming a 22 inch necklace (total length from back to bottom of the longest panel). Signed "3066, Susan Kasson Sloan, sterling silver, epoxy resin." Gross weight: 163.3 grams. Note: circumference fits to 16 inches. Item condition: no clasp, opens with slightly torqued ring. Susan Kasson Sloan (American, b.1944) was a painter before turning to jewelry. Her work can be found in the Smithsonian American Art Museum; the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, New York, NY.
