Mexican-born American sculptor known for his public monuments and intimate figure studies. He moved to California as a child, studied art at San Jose State and the San Francisco Art Institute, and later lived in London before settling in Venice, California. His career spanned intimate wax figures, prints, and large-scale commissions like the Olympic Gateway for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and the Joe Louis Monument in Detroit. He was married to actress Anjelica Huston.
