Sara Barnes did post graduate work at the Sorbonne in Paris, France, and the Instituto in Guipuzcuano in San Sebastian. Known for her paintings of the Napa Valley, she was commissioned by the Block China Corporation to do a series of designs for a set of China 'Napa Valley: Four Seasons', depicted various scenes of the Napa Valley at different seasons of the year.
