Three Chinese Jade Carvings.
Qing Dynasty and later
First is a pale celadon jade reticulated 'dragon and cash' plaque, carved in openwork with a central design of interlocking ancient coins surrounded by scrolling chilong dragons, the stone with areas of black speckling. 4 in. (10 cm) wide
Second is a white and russet jade 'chilong' belt hook, the arched shaft surmounted by a large dragon head, a smaller chilong clambering up the shaft, the stone with russet inclusions. 5 in. (13 cm) long.
Third is a gilt bronze mounted white jadeite two part belt buckle, each oval jade plaque of rectangular form with rounded corners, set within a gilt-bronze frame cast with taotie masks. 5 in. (12.7 cm) long overall

Note: The three pieces represent the quintessential accessories of a Qing dynasty scholar official or nobleman. The 'dragon and cash' plaque symbolizes wealth and status, the chilong belt hook was worn to suspend items from the belt, and the jade-inlaid buckle reflects the highest level of craftsmanship in personal adornment.
