Chinese Iron-Red and Famille Verte Porcelain Brush Pot
Late Qing Dynasty to Early 20th Century
The cylindrical form porcelain brush pot decorated in iron-red and famille Verte enamels with a scholars in landscape, accompanied by dragon and tiger, symbols traditionally associated with power, courage, scholarly achievement and success in official advancement. The rim and foot are bordered with decorative floral and cloud bands.

Height: 5 in. (13.5 cm) , diameter: 3 7/8 in. (10.5 cm).

Condition: overall in good condition, with light surface wear and minor firing imperfections. some rubbing and minor losses to the iron-red and enamel decoration, with light scratches and small areas of discoloration. The rim and foot show minor wear. No obvious major cracks restoration visible from normal inspection.
