Number 145 of 760 numbered sets signed by Doyle in volume 1. 8vo.
Quarter two-toned cream buckram over brown paper covered boards. Gilt
signature to upper covers, printed paper spine labels, top edges gilt, leaves
generally unopened, original printed dust jackets.
Condition: Volumes generally in fine condition, dust jackets also in excellent condition apart from a chip to the head of
the jacket spine of the first volume.
This Crowborough Edition is named for the Sussex town where Doyle lived. While he had already signed the sheets, Doyle passed away in July of 1930 before seeing the publication of this set later the same year. Uncommon to find in the original dust jackets.
