Group of Japanese Tsuba and Sword fittings
Momoyama to Edo period.
Comprising six Japanese iron sword guards, tsuba, and sword fittings of varied shapes and decorative styles.
First is a signed copper Tsuba Matsubara Nobu oval form Tsuba, finely carved in relief with the "Three Laughers of Tiger Creek" in mountain landscape with silver inlay. Signed Echizen ju Matsubara Nobu, height: 3 1/4 inches.
Second is a naga-maru-gata iron tsuba as tree bark texture ground with a spider and fly inlaid in copper and gold. diameter: 3 inches.
Third is an iron tsuba with spider and web, signed Shunmei. Diameter: 2.5 inches.
Fourth is Momoyama 17th Century iron Sukashi Tsuba with Gen-ji clan wheels pierced tsuba, the surface decorated with bamboo leaves in gold nunome-zogan inlay. diameter: 3 inches.
Fifth is an iron tsuba with tiger and bamboo motif, the leaves highlighted in gold and silver, the reverse side plain with tsuchime texture. Diameter: 3 1/2 inches.
Sixth is signed iron maru-gata plate with a yasurime finish and dark patina, possibly Edo period, 17th Century. Height: 3 1/4 inches.

Condition: In good condition with rich, dark patina commensurate with age. Minor wear to the high points of the relief.
