Large Turkish Yatagan, 19th Century
Large Turkish Yatagan in a leather scabbard with a metal dragon head tip and banded brass locket. Impressive eared split bone hilt with embossed metal grip strap and bolster. Grooved blade with engraved mantinada on either side, circa 1880. Blade 22"l, overall length 29.75".
Some age cracks to bone handle. Blade with some oxidation, all consistent with age.
