Pink Ground Cloisonne Enamel Tea Set
Late Qing Dynasty / Republic Period late 19 to early 20th Century
Rare large tea service set, comprising: Nine pieces executed in cloisonné enamel on gilt bronze with vibrant pink ground. Comprising: a covered tea pot of cylindrical form with swing handle, curved spout and domed cover surmounted by a peach finial symbolizing longevity, four tea bowls, with rounded form and everted rim; and four elongated boat form octagonal sweet meat dishes.
Each piece is well decorated with the hundred Antiques ( Baigu) on rich pink ground. The intricate design features a profusion of auspicious symbols including vases of flowers, scholars objects, coin patterns and bats for blessings, stylized floral sprays and butterflies.

Tea pot height: approx. 7 inches (17.8 cm) , tea bowl diameter :approx. 3 inches (7.6 cm). length of dishes: 6 inches ( 15.2 cm).
