Two Chinese Celadon Moon Flask Vases
20th Century
Comprising: First is a larger vase of compressed circular form with a tall flaring neck, molded lobed body and flanked by a pair of reddish orange glazed Qilong dragon form handles to the neck, each side centered with a famille rose medallion depicting children at play scenes.Underside bears an apocryphal Qianglong Nie Zhi mark, accompanied by a fitted hardwood base. Second is a smaller moon flask vase, similarly potted with a lobed body and stylized handles, decorated with famille rose figural medallions, one side depicting an elderly scholar accompanied by a young attendant in landscape setting, the reverse with an inscribed poetic panel. The underside bears an apocryphal Qianglong Nie Zhi mark. Both vases covered in an even pale celadon glaze.

Height of the largest: 10 1/2 in. (26 cm).

Condition: Overall in good display condition. Minor expected surface wear and light rubbing to the gilt decoration consistent with age and handling. No significant losses, restorations.
